Today’s Boston Globe West section has a great article about Arlington’s concern for the fate of Busa Farm; it includes an interview with Arlington’s Selectwoman, Clarissa Rowe…
Meg, Suzanne and Janet are all quoted in the article that appears in today’s Globe West section…
Sonia DeMarta, visionary and founder of the Lexington Farmers’ Market, wrote a great op-ed piece for the Lexington Minuteman. Sonia gives a great summary of the basic speaking points for community farming, and the importance of local farms in general. Thank You, Sonia!
An article appears in today’s Lexington Minuteman (available online) covering last week’s community farming information meeting. Overall it’s a great piece that does a good job of conveying the depth of information presented and the experience of speakers.
My one quibble is with the title, Group meets on Busa Farm future. Busa Farm was mentioned in the introduction, but the goal of the meeting was to present several sustainable and working models of how community farming has come about in our neighboring towns. The goal of our coalition is to bring community farming to Lexington. We think the Busa Farm purchase gives us an ideal opportunity to make that goal happen, but it’s not the be all and end all of our cause.
Meg Muckenhoupt, one of our coalition members, has an excellent write-up about our recent information meeting appearing on the YourArlington.com, a citizen-run news and information site. Check it out:
