Visiting Hours and Location
The Goat Yard is open on Sunday, May 6 for public visiting hours from 1 pm – 3 pm.
Here is a google map of the LexFarm goat yard, which is located behind Busa Farm, 52 Lowell St., Lexington, MA. Please park in the Busa Farm parking lot and walk straight back to the red barn. If there is no parking at the farm stand, please park at the Arlington Reservoir public lot and walk from there.
On October 1, 2011, LexFarm opened its new goat yard with a herd of five Nigerian Dwarf goats:
- Ionia (queen of the herd)
- Ella, Naya, and Sapphire (Ionia’s beautiful triplets, born on May 30, 2011)
- Jasper (another kid about the same age as the triplets)*
On March 11, 2012, Ionia gave birth to two new kids, a doeling (girl) and a buckling (boy) who look just like her! They have been named Salt (doeling) and Pepper (buckling) LexFarm happily welcomed the first babies born in our yard.
Our goats enjoy a yard with ample opportunities for browsing, climbing, and playing … and a barn for eating, milking, quiet times, and sleeping.

*In Loving Memory of JasperJune 25, 2011 – January 19, 2012
Jasper brought a lot of boyish energy and charm to the goat yard and was always up for adventure. His rambunctious spirit, exciting antics, and loving soul are missed by all those who knew him, especially the other goats in the herd (Ionia, Ella, Naya, and Sapphire), caretakers Ben and Sofia, and the many regular visitors to the goat yard.
