LexFarm’s mission is to provide “education about farms, farming and sustainable land use.” We are delighted to offer hands-on farm-based education programs and group visits at our goat yard. And, of course, don’t forget our visiting hours every Sunday, 1–3 pm!

Drop-In Programs for All Ages

Learn & Work Projects
2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
We’ll provide an educational overview of a project to maintain or improve the goat yard, explain its significance for the goats and sustainability, and show you how to do the work. After a work period, you can enjoy some free time with the goats!
Cost: Free (donations gratefully accepted)

Pasture Walks
Fourth Thursday of each month, 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.
Starting in April

After an educational overview, chat and learn about seasonal goat browsing and behavior while we walk with the goats in a forage area.
Program runs in all weather except rain.
Cost: $5 per person ($10 per family)

Goat Care Skills
For serious goat enthusiasts over age 10, we bring you an opportunity to learn how to care for goats! In each 6- or 8-week session, you gain skills by hands-on work helping our farmer with morning chores, plus additional education about goat care.

Saturdays, January 28 to March 3, 7:00 – 8:00 a.m.

Tuesdays, January 17 to March 6, 6:30 – 7:30 a.m. FULL

Each session limited to 5 participants.
Cost: $80 member / $105 nonmember for Tuesday 8-week session; $60 member / $80 nonmember for Saturday 6-week session
