Dear Friend of LexFarm,

As cooler weather arrives, we are reflecting on all we’ve accomplished together and looking ahead with renewed energy. Whether you are a member, have a CSA, visited the farm, volunteered, taken a class, or simply believe in what we do—we know you understand the lasting value of a vibrant, inclusive community farm.

A community farm is a living example of how we care for one another and the earth:

  • As a provider of local, nutrient-dense, organic food—accessible to all
  • As a hands-on space for all ages to engage with nature and food
  • As a welcoming place for neighbors to connect and collaborate

At LexFarm, we put these values into action every day. With the help of friends like you, we:

  • Offered more opportunities to enjoy local food and flora, including year-round CSAs, a new on-line meat program, and a dahlia CSA!
  • Improved accessibility through extended discounts on CSAs, educational tiered pricing, and a community-supported SNAP matching program
  • Expanded winter educational programming—tapping maple trees, learning about animal survival in winter and growing greens in our new greenhouse
  • Hosted joyful seasonal events that brought music, arts and discovery to the farm

We’re excited to grow even more—with your support

In 2026, we will expand the accessibility of our CSAs, events and education programs; continue exploring and experimenting with sustainable agricultural practices; offer more LexFarm-made products; and even obtain licensing as an outdoor, nature-based learning center. We will also increase our care and maintenance of the Silk Fields Farm animals.

To make this vision real, we need your help!

Please make a gift today to support your community farm. Your donation helps us keep the plants growing and the spirit of community thriving. We are enormously grateful for whatever you choose to give, AND the first $45 of your donation pays for your 2026 LexFarm membership. Our goal is to have 750 supporters (or more!) respond to this appeal to demonstrate the strength of LexFarm’s community engagement.

Donations by check can be sent to: LexFarm, P.O. Box 554, Lexington, MA 02420 or directly through your donor-advised fund. LexFarm is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations to LexFarm are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Gratefully,

P.S. You may have heard that the Silk Fields owner is exploring development options for the site. The goats, alpacas, and chickens at Silk Fields have been an important part of LexFarm, and we are exploring ways to retain access to these wonderful animals. Join our email list at lexfarm.org/silkfields to receive updates and learn about ways you can help in the coming months.
