Volunteer Spotlight: Oliver Bentham

oliverOliver originally came to Lexington Community Farm as a volunteer as part of a college project on sustainability and the importance of local produce. He had such a good experience on the farm that he decided to continue volunteering throughout the season. Oliver could be seen working alongside Tim in the fields 3 days a week.

“Oliver has helped me with every aspect of my work” says Farmer Tim.  Oliver helped plant, weed and harvest almost every fruit, vegetable and herb grown on the farm. Now, most of the time he either shadows Tim, making whatever task he’s doing take half as long, or works on his own in the fields while Tim tackles other farm tasks.

Oliver has been such a great help around the farm, we hired him!

Welcome aboard, Oliver, and thank you for all your hard work on this farm this season!
