The Lexington Seed Library Returns
The Lexington Seed Library returns to Cary Memorial Library this month for its second season. This year there are two cabinets; one houses packets of donated seed from High Mowing Organic Seeds, while the second, smaller cabinet contains “special collection” heirloom and community seeds grown and saved by seed library gardeners. All are encouraged to try growing some of these seeds through to the end of the plant lifecycle and to please save some of their seeds to share at our annual October seed swap. The only prerequisite is that you sign a pledge that you will make a good faith effort to grow whatever seeds you take!
The Lexington Seed Library is a project of Lexington Community Farm and Cary Memorial Library.
