Who else used some of their share veggies to brighten up a holiday meal last week? I know I sure did.

One of my favorite things about being the field manager here is the ability to share the harvest with others. Sweet potatoes, butternut squash, beets and carrots were some of the many Lexfarm vegetables that made it into my Thursday meal.

Although most of the staff have been off of the farm for a couple days, Allison took Sunday to prep the tractor for plowing this week. We’ll also be spending this Thursday covering our strawberries in thick row cover to protect against the winter cold, as well as harvesting from some of the last of our low tunnels.
