Have you been curious about starting your own vegetable plants from seed but been overwhelmed and intimidated by the thought? One of the goals of this workshop is to reduce that fear!
In this workshop, you will learn how to grow strong healthy plants from seed that can then be transferred to your own sunny backyard or community garden. Information will be provided about where to obtain good healthy seed, differences between heirloom and open pollinated seeds, time to germination, when and how much to water and fertilize, seed temperature and light needs. Materials will be available for you to plant some seeds in flats for taking home.
