Silk Fields

The goats, alpacas, and chickens at Silk Fields have long been an enormous draw for farm visitors, adding to the joy and vitality of LexFarm. Silk Fields, located at 7 Farm Road directly behind LexFarm, is a 2.5-acre privately owned property. Through the ongoing generosity of Silk Fields, the animals have also been an important part of our education programming. What you may not know is that the owner is now exploring development options for the site. As the future of this property and the animals takes shape, we know many in our community will want to stay informed.

10/07/2025 Update

The owner of Silk Fields, the property behind LexFarm housing the goats, alpacas, and chickens, has been exploring development options for the land. Over the past few weeks LexFarm has been exploring various options available to maintain continuity for the animals. At this time we don’t have a clear path forward, but LexFarm is already planning a future capital campaign. If you believe you have some expertise and time to lend a hand in this effort, please reach out to us at [email protected].

To receive updates about our upcoming campaign, please sign up for the Silk Fields interest list at the top of this page.
