Thursday, August 31, 6-7 pm: Gospel Music Concert at the Farm
Enjoy a rousing concert of gospel and R&B music in a beautiful setting, featuring local singer/songwriter Aric B. Flemming, Jr. Harvard educated Aric B. is an R&B and gospel recording artist, who has recorded, written, trained, and collaborated with Grammy-winning producers. He is currently working on several musical projects, including his own R&B debut, collaborating with local artists, and performing around Metro Boston and throughout the New England area!Dr. Dennis Slaughter, a well-known professional musician, educator, founding director of the Boston Community Choir and artistic director of the Boston Pops Orchestra Gospel Choir will be joining Aric B.
This performance is guaranteed to be inspiring and uplifting and should not be missed! This program is partially supported by the Lexington Arts Council. Chairs will be provided. Free, but sign up in link above for planning purposes.

Come get your nerd on with Farmer Elizabeth Almeida, owner and founder of Fat Moon Farm!
During our time together, we’ll uncover the facts behind the fungi. Get ready to take a deep dive into both the life cycle and anatomy of the mushroom. Join us to cultivate an understanding of the role mushrooms play in crafting a sustainable ecosystem and how Farmer Elizabeth considers environmental impact at her organic mushroom farm. And, learn how to experiment with fungi at home with a DIY mushroom grow kit!

We’ll be showing Wall-E, and serving up popcorn and cider in the Learning Garden. The evening kicks off at 6:45 pm with a child friendly lantern craft and a 7:15 pm movie start time. Running time of 1 hr 38 min. Rated G.

Wednesday, September 27, 5:30 – 7 pm: Gelli Plate Printing with Natural Materials
Engage in an experimental method of printmaking, with expressive art therapist Marina Strauss, adjunct faculty at Lesley University, using gelatin plates instead of a press! In this workshop we will use several printing materials such as stamps, veggies, stencils, threads, leaves and more. We’ll play with color and natural materials from the farm and create one-of-a-kind images. The process will be exploratory and fun! All supplies provided and no printmaking experience necessary.
