Highlights
Each year, we grow a variety of plant starts that we know will do well in our area. There are favorites we grow year after year in the farm fields or have come recommended to us by farmer friends or local garden clubs.
We start thousands of tomato, eggplant, pepper, cucumber and summer squash plants, and we source certified-organic herbs plugs. We grow an expanding variety of culturally relevant plants for our East Asian and South Asian neighbors, including various gourds, melons, eggplants and cucumbers. This year, we’re offering okra for the first time due to popular demand! We also are experimenting with some different varieties of bitter melons and luffas than usual, in hopes of better germination and due to seed availability.
This year, we’re also partnering with David Schwartz of Twig Daddy to offer nut and fruit trees, vines, and shrubs! These offerings are started right in Boston and he uses all organic practices despite not being certified. There are well known offerings like raspberries, grapes, and hazelnuts, as well as more niche offerings that are native to the northeast, like pawpaws, honeyberries, and serviceberries. These are easier to grow than you might think – check it out!
Purchasing Platform
We are using the same sales platform that we used for last year’s seedling sale and for this year’s CSA programs.
This platform charges us credit card fees, which add a considerable cost to offering this program. Please consider adding a tip to cover the credit card fees for your order. If everyone adds at least 3% to their order, we would be able to cover this cost entirely.
Schedule a time you’ll be able to pick up your order, either in the header bar before adding items to your cart or before checkout.
If you don’t choose a time, you will automatically be assigned the first available time slot.
We are unable to modify pick-up times after your order is placed. With hundreds of orders, the logistics of rearranging pick-ups is difficult and time consuming. Our time is best spent focused on seeding and caring for tens of thousands of baby plants. We appreciate your cooperation!
